MyEtherPonies is used to collect trade and breed digital collectibles. It’s like a pet game in the cryptocurrency platform. Yet, there are no any identical ponies like in the real world. However it crosses the boundaries of digital collectible by allowing to the owners of Ponies to take care of them as their pets and enroll them into fresh and interesting competitions which the owners can win and reward.
The project has introduced some activities to pet the ponies on daily basis. Those can be listed as,
- Happiness Index – the owners can make their ponies happy to achieve a higher score on Happiness Index
- Mini-gameplay such as “Duel”- It can be rewarded while playing
- Game rewards for participants & contributors – It helps to keep the MyEtherPony economy in a self-sustainable situation.
- Marketplace & Auction – It is very open, transparent and secure.
Just having laptop running Chrome and ETH (Ether) digital currency anyone can start to bid or buy the first pony from the MyEtherPony program which is available in the Marketplace section on the website. ETH can be bought from local cryptocurrency exchange. The after sending those ETHs to the wallet, they can be used to purchase the ponies. When the MyEtherPony bidding start registered users can invite more friends and play Wheel of Bounty.
Gen-0 ponies are the ponies that generated in pre-defined smart contracts. There are only around 5000 ponies available in the bidding market and over the time they will be released to the market. Once all the Gen-0 ponies are generated it is needed to give the birth for new ponies. It can be done through mating with ponies of other owners. At this instant, the interested pony owner will pay matching fee before the breeding can happen. The breeding is actually a smart contract that will determine the attributes of the newborn pony based on the gene code of both parents.
MyEtherPonies will create a funny way to be part of the crypto world, without going through much more technical stuff. It is a game in a decentralized platform which can earn some rewards while retaining users for a long period of time.
